The 3 nutrients your body needs every day

You’ve probably heard the word “macros” before — but what are they?

Macronutrients are nutrients your body needs in larger amounts to provide energy and support essential body functions.

There are three main macronutrients:

🥩 Protein – helps build and maintain muscle and supports many processes in the body.

🥑 Fats – support brain and cardiovascular health, hormone production and nutrient absorption.

🍚 Carbohydrates – provide the body with its preferred energy source and are an important source of dietary fibre.

Where do they come from?

Protein: meat, eggs, beans, lentils, tofu and dairy.
Fats: oils, nuts, seeds, avocado, oily fish and dairy.
Carbohydrates: fruit, starchy vegetables, bread, pasta, rice, oats and other grains.

Each macronutrient has an important role — there's no need to fear or eliminate any one of them.

Understanding your macros is simply about learning how different foods fuel and support your body. 💕

Keep it simple. Keep it balanced. Keep glowing. ✨
